Teeth Implant questions?

Teeth Implant questions?

I lost one teeth and the dentist recommends me to have an implant which costs $ 2000. It is not covered my insurance. Is there an alternative way to restore the teeth? Anyone has same experience?

Answer by Mauve Pearl
It depends on the tooth house. You might be able to get a bridge instead.

You could have a bridge done but it is nearly just as expensive if you don’t have excellent ins. , its the same as 3 crowns. a bridge is perm. cemented in your mouth.

You could get a partial denture soemtimes called a flipper but you take that in and out of your mouth

the implant is the way to go, but as you say insurance does not take in it.
check on line for credit cards that are for dental work only, some will not charge interest if you pay the balance off within a year.

Hi
A bridge is an option but look at the comparison between dental implants and a bridge- http://www.dental-implants-guide.com/dental-implant-vs-bridges.html

oh- i have them- veneers- if thats what your talking about- they look wonderful- feel wonderful etc… but they o not last forever and your own tooth gets filed down to make room for the implant- so…. if you can afford them and to replace them when necessary- depending on the dentist $ 5-700.00 per tooth- ouch!!!! and i have had one fall off while eating- this is sooooo embarrassing.

I have heard of them in fact I have a friend who got some, but I didn’t question how much they cost. I reckon, it is a wonderful thought if you need them. Of course they are not as excellent as what God gives us, but it is a fantastic substitute. Thank God for all the creative thoughts He gives to man to help us.

I highly recommend implants they will last forever,,, unlike crowns or bridges which after being can need to be replaced. the cost depends on the doctor most charge between $ 1000- $ 1500 that is just for the implant , then there is a few month healing period before you see your dentist for the crown which is usually $ 500 – $ 800 excellent luck
