What are tooth implants?

What are tooth implants?

Answer by gsschulte
it is the step beyond partial dentures and a bridge. it involves a titanium screw and a cap. it is a better option than the bridge. keeps you from anchoring the fake tooth to the teeth beside it. i could not afford it so i have a partial. bridges are not a very excellent option they get stuff under them but you cannot remove them for cleaning as you can for a partial denture set

Get the dentures, and save your money small by small to buy implants. Don’t be embarrassed, a lot of people have complications with their teeth. I reckon partials would be best for you, that way you wouldn’t have to pull out the rest of your teeth.

Do everything you can to keep your teeth. When my sister had to get dentures at at 39, it was devastating to her. She never got over it and still says it was the worst day of her life. It has affected her self-esteem horribly. Not to mention that most people can spot dentures a mile away unless you can afford custom dentures at $ 4000-$ 6000. Finally, they never fit like you see on the Polident commercials. They’re painful and can produce serious health and nutritional problems. My sister lost so much weight she had to drink Ensure supplements numerous times a day just to meet minimal nutritional requirements just to function. She says that all the money she ‘saved’ was not worth the loss of her well-being, happiness, and health.
