Do some people have discomfort from dental implants, once they have healed and not rejected?

Do they produce pain or sensetivity to hot or cold?

Answer by KC
Dental implants after the initial period of osseo intergation will not go unless quite a heavy force is exerted on them.No they dont have sensitivity. If done correctly should last for life. Most people don’t have discomfort, only smokers are prone towards failure in the healing stages.
Excellent Luck

Brushing and flossing doesn’t preclude the denture tast.

I like to hear that you are brushing and flossing, but you might care to try by a WaterPik
http://www.waterpik.com/oral-health-products/
with some mouthrinse mixed with water to flush out all of the areas around the implants you have. You need to use the Pik on a lower pressure setting as not to traumatize the tissue by forcing the fluid into the area at the gum margin. You can also use a proxybrush

Just make sure that the wire of the proxybrush is coated with plastic so it doesn’t scratch the implant.

Hope that helps!
