Dental Implant procedure?

Dental Implant procedure?

I am having 7 teeth pulled Tuesday. I thought they were going to place the screws in at that time. It has been called a socket graph. What are the stages of implants? I am so confused. They are now saying that the dentist is going to place some kind of material in the socket, and the really screws will be place in a few months down the road. What is the material? Thanks

I am sorry you were not educated well on your implant procedure.

First the periodontist doing your surgery does not always know if they can do direct implant placement (taking out the tooth and putting the implant in) in anticipation of the exact time of removing the tooth. If there is any kind of infection or weak bone in the extraction site that area needs to heal or need a graft before any implant is placed in the bone.

So what it sounds like was that the socket and bone in that area needed a graft to be nice and strong before the implant is placed. If an implant is placed in weak bone it could de-integrate.

There are a digit of options available depending on condition of your tooth. Post Crown is doubtless your best option (this is everywhere the remainder of the tooth is removed and a post with a ceramic tooth is set into the root of the remainder of the tooth. if you have had small no pain for ten being then there could possibly be infection abscess above tooth. if this is not viable and the tooth is removed then a bridge or fusion root are your other options.

yes your conundrum WILL be flat by then. if your dentist already knows about your conundrum then i am sure he/she will start working on the process at your appointment tomorrow of making that broken tooth, look like new!!

What do you reckon? Answer below!
