If one chooses dental work done at a school for denistry,is there a great discount,like for an IMPLANT?

I had a baaaaaaad terrible a$ $ molar ripped right outta my skull Friday.
Its healing perfectly really. In the near-far future [within the next yr.] I’m shooting for an establish. I ASSUME going to a nearby dental school would offer fees atleast half price.

I LIVE IN THE NEW YORK AREA. [1.5 hrs. from Manhattan]

PLEASE don’t mentioned additional countries or Costa Rica. By the time I pay for hotels, airfare,ect. I may as well pay full price here in the states. … besides when go to CR, just plot to chill on the beach and toss popcorn at the toucans and monkeys.
Thanx
besides who wants to worry abt a sore mouth when they are on vacation?
lol {laughing on one side}

They do give discounts specially for cases that are not so common like an establish. I am sorry I don’t know about the state you are in but I know they usually do and they are GOOD. Usually they are smart students who want to impress their professors so they do their best.

Excellent luck and wish you the best

I’m an orthodontic assistant so I’m not 100% sure about this. I judge that the dental ridge tear (or alveolar ridge tear) is done when the bone which supports the teeth has narrowed to sort of a knife edge. This earnings that the ridge is not wide enough to support the establish. I judge that they tear the ridge lengthwise and fill the “valley” in with bone grafting material so that there is a thick, healthy ridge to support the establish. Hope that helps.

If a dentist pulls a tooth that is broken, say, but has a excellent, healthy root, the bone beneath will be in excellent condition. Then you can get a simple establish. But often, this is not the case when the tooth comes out for some additional reason. The tooth that deteriorates over a period of time loses its root and then the bone beneath it (essentially part of the jawbone) also deteriorates. Then if you tried to place in a simple artifical tooth, there wouldn’t be enough bone for it to glue to. So, there is a business called a “dental ridge splint” which is essentially an establish to make up for the deteriorated bit of jawbone. Then the artificial tooth goes into that. Sometimes this ridge goes over the additional teeth on any side, so it’s on top of the gums. Sometimes it’s something that’s place down in the gumline. I’m not fully conversant with dental techniques, so you’d have to question your dentist about what he or she has in mind for you. But in any case, it’s a excellent thought to do this, because it saves your teeth. It’s always better to keep what teeth you have and to keep them in position. If you just make do with a gap, the surviving teeth tend to lean over and ultimately you have more problems than originally. If you reckon it’d be simpler to just have them all pulled, and get fake teeth, well then you have problems with the gums shrinking and the teeth don’t fit as well after awhile. Then you have to buy nasty adhesives and so on. I’ve had a lot of older relatives who went through several sets of fake teeth who just never seemed to be able to get things completely settled. They’d end up just intake baby food because it was simpler to place the teeth out and gum their food, it was such a hassle. So, it can be rather a bother having implants and ridge slints place in, originally. But once they’re in, it’s really worth it. You can bite and chew normally.
