Dental implants?

Dental implants?

Is there more risk of getting gum disease or any kind of disease of the gums with dental implants? Do the gums naturally form around the establish? For long term, are implants a excellent option?

Answer by FEEBEECAT
Implants are exceptional to replace missing teeth. the body does well in treating the titanium like bone and can heal well around it. Implants are about $ 3k a unit(tooth) and will take 100% compliance committment from a patient. you must be willing to maintain your investment and do exactly as your dental professional advises, including flossing-otherwise you might be wasting your money.

Hi,
There is not really anymore risk of getting a gum disease with implants. Implants are wonderful to get when its your last option or if you don’t want anything removable in your mouth. It is vital though that you clean real, real excellent around your establish and you don’t smoke. It is a fact, public who smoke and has dental implants….the implants fail. Hope I have helped you. Yes, gums should naturally form, if not, then there is gum grafts.

These days implants are the way to go. They are the closest things to your natural teeth. You must be prepared to take care of this tooth as if it were your own to avoid any problems such as inflammed gum tissue and infection.

First I’ll answer your question…There is no proven fact that the risk of periodontal disease is higher than normal. I am unsure if you suffer from periodontal disease or if you are worried about getting it. Gum disease is caused by many different factors such as: smoking,or poor dental hygeine. It is caused by bacteria. If you visit your dentist for a cleaning every six months the risk of periodontal disease can be minimized.

Usually your periodontist or general dentist will discuss your personal dental establish success rate before treatment. If you do suffer from gum disease this may maybe mean that the level of bone at the establish site may not be sufficient. In this case you can have a bone grafting done.

The procedure for dental implants is not an overnight business and even though there is a high success rate it is possible (like with anything) that it may not take. Most likely…you will have nothing to worry about.

The titanium steel “screw” will be placed in the bone at your first visit. A healing cap will be palced on top of the site to prevent the gum tissue from growing over the establish. This area will have to heal for a few months. The bone and gum tissue will heal around the site.

Once the area is healed and the periodontist is satisfied. The general dentist will prepare your establish for a crown. Impresions will be taken and sent to a lab and you will be agreed a temporary crown.

Just remember to brush and floss and visit your dentist bi-annually and you should be fine.

What do you reckon? Answer below!

average cost of a dental establish

I am thinking of getting a dental establish (molar) and wondered if anyone has had experience or problems with theirs.

P.S. Are you ultimately able to chew with it like a normal tooth?
As in pain free?

If you are getting the establish, more than likely they will detach your root thus ridding that socket of all feeling in general which beyond doubt has its pros and cons.

Dental implants are the closest replacement for missing teeth. A dental establish is a titanium screw that is surgically placed within your jaw bone later an extraction or in an area where a tooth is missing. When a tooth is removed, over time, the bone starts to resorb three-dimensionally. Over time the bone resorbs both in height and width, making it more hard for implants to be placed later on in life. This becomes particullary hard in the posterior lower jaw (because there is a nerve – called the Inferior Alveolar Nerve – that runs through the jaw) and in the posterior high jaw (because of the proximity to your sinuses) When the bone resorbs, there becomes less bone available over these critical structures, for establish placement.

As for whether they will hurt your gums and bone, the answer is NO. Placing implants will really help to prevent this resorptive process. Your bone really fuses to the establish through a process called Osseointegration. They only get baggy if they fail (and the average success rate for implants is between 95 and 98%) Teeth get baggy because they are surrounded by a ligament which has some flexibility, implants do not have these ligaments, they are fused directly to the bone.

There are risks to getting implants because it is a surgical procedure, but your dentist can best clarify these to you based on which place they are plotted for. Make sure that you have them placed by a well trained professional.

Costs can range greatly for establish placement, from around $ 750 to over $ 2000, depending on who or where you have them done. But, there will be an additional fee for the crown and abutment (post) that will need to be placed on top of the establish.

To get to the bottom line, Yes, you will ultimately be able to chew like with normal teeth. The sensation might be alittle different, but they are the closest business to natural teeth!

I have an establish and would do it all over again! My husband is a dentist so I new what I was getting into, but from the patient’s point of view I have to say you will never regret it. The surgery is pretty simple, they don’t knock you out but you really aren’t “with it”. After the surgery I was a small frightened about what it would feel like and I really didn’t have any problems, kinda felt bruised but not in pain. You have to wait until you are all healed to get the “tooth part” place in, but ever since then I can function perfectly! I don’t even know it’s there except I can chew! The worst part was paying for it!

HI,
ALL OF MY PATIENTS WHO GOT IMPLANTS LOVED THEM. YES, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CHEW ON IT LIKE A NORMAL TOOTH. BUT JUST MAKE SURE YOU DO EVERYTHING YOUR DENTIST TELLS YOU TO DO ON KEEPING IT CLEAN, OR ELSE IT MAY GET PAINFUL. GOOD LUCK AND IMPLANT AWAY!! PS. MAKE SURE YOU DONT SMOKE. IMPLANTS NORMALLY FAIL IF THE PATIENT IS A SMOKER.

Dental Implants and Laser eye surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and lasik surgery in India by a company called Forerunners Healthcare. The Price for dental and lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very well-known in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient tales.
They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and additional international patients who plot to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally judge that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
