What will happen if i get a dental implant now?

What will happen if i get a dental implant now?

I am 15 being ancient and i had braces since i was 12 with a fake tooth attached to bracket. The fake tooth is the FRONT TOP tooth -.- it really annoys me.

now i have a retainer with a tooth and i wondered why they couldn’t just implant a tooth now but they said because since i am still growing i can’t get an implant now. But now i met a new kid who has 2 fake teeth (top canine and the one in between canine and front tooth) he said they were both implanted (hes the same age as me). im tired of smiling and laughing with a retainer on.

i also want to get excellent teeth as quick as possible because i met a girl and i reckon she’ll feel awkward around a guy with a retainer, produce nearly nobody wears them during the day but i have to. I want to know why my dentist told me i cant get an implant now. what will happen if i do? whats incorrect with getting an implant while im growing? and is there another option to have a fake tooth that doesn’t show anything in my mouth?

Here is a picture of sort of how my mouth looks like without a retainer http://www.mynewsmile.com/images/missingbefore.jpg

age is not factor. It is overall health of a person. you will have to go through the evaluation process by getting x-rays. This will help the dentist to learn the bone quality and quantity of a patient. So if a person is not in excellent health implants will not work on such people.

Dental implants should not be placed in in anticipation of your bones stop growing. Since everything is still growing things are changing. If you got an implant now and then your natural teeth shifted everywhere they would not be aligned properly with the implant you would need braces to right it. While you are growing the positioning of your teeth are constantly changing. Placing the implant at this point is really not a excellent thought.
I am not sure if you could find a dentist that will house an implant at your age. If the implant was placed there is a possibility that you would need braces to right your bite or have the implant taken out after you stop growing.
Talk to your dentist about other options. One is to get a new flipper. The flipper with the fake tooth can be well made in a way everywhere you cannot tell that it is a fake tooth. If you are looking for something more permanent another possibility is a Maryland bridge. There is minimal tooth schooling in the back and it is a flat prosthesis (it stays in your mouth indefinitely).
As to girls, there will be plenty when you get a bit grown-up so don’t worry to much about that.

You are not a candidate for a dental implant in anticipation of you are completely finished growing, at about age 19 to 21. In anticipation of then you could question your dentist to make you a different type of appliance called a provisional partial or "flipper". There are no arch wires like on your retainer so it is not as noticeable. I reckon you would like it much better. You have to be finished growing before your implant is placed because it will interfere with the proper enhancement of you jaw, and that would not be a excellent look! Be patient! Excellent Luck

cost for dental implant

Hi I have a conundrum with a tooth, and after going to the periodontist he said it looks terrible. It already had a root canal, an apicoectomy, infection and then cleared up. I am supposed to see my dentist with the x-ray full from the perio. He said it showed infection and that could lead to other problems. Infection that could go into the blood stream and produce diabetes, stroke etc. Could it reallyl produce those things, I am healthy and don’t see a small tooth conundrum causing so much distress. Any way he mentioned a bridge, but that would distroy 2 other excellent teeth, or an implant, but I see that takes nearly a year to complete, He does not do either, he is a perio, so has nothing to gain either way. But what does anyone suggest?
But how does it lead to diabetes, or even heart disease?
Can’t you just take more antibiotics? Also could I have caused a new infection by by my proxibrush, those small brushes that fit in between the spaces of the teeth. A few times I have kind of missed the space and went upwards and missed the space and went into the gums, and did see a small blood when I did this. The tooth does not bother me so I am just trying to avoid going through all that for something that I may have caused, everywhere there might not be so much fuss and produce a huge deal when it is only a simple thing. Sorry but I am not really looking forwards to this. The Apico was dreadful, with my face all swelled up and a lot of pain, and I did it with a local since I despise going under but thought I might pass out from fright, I know my heart was racing during the procedure did kind of go into mild shock (shaking, getting cold, a small out of it etc, don’t know if I could do it again.

Only a Dentist can even tell you if your a candidate for an implant. There has to be enough bone to do this. And yes your periodontist is right a infection can get into your blood stream and produce even heart problems anytime there is infection being in your mouth or any other part of your body it is not excellent. Relax it took a while for these problems to arrive and it will take time to repair the hurt. You have to remember that oral health is just vital as another health issue.

Dental implant surgery is very safe currently. My cousin got her dental implants and Lasik surgery in India by a company called Indian Health Guru Consultants. The Price for dental and Lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.

Indian Health Guru Consultants is very well-known in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, Lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient tales.
They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plot to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
