Do not have a general anesthesia in a dentist office unless there is an anesthesiologist present

I have an implant, done by periodontist. I took a tranquilizer before I went there, and they used local anesthesia. Usually dentists will give you a script for some kind of tranquilizer if it’ll help you, and it really helps me! Good luck.

They are going to drill a hole in your bone. So worth it.

That’s a lot to ask an oral surgeon to give away. My implant–one tooth–cost $ 3600 and took four appointments.

You might want to seek a dental college where future dentists intern. It can be a safe and far more affordable way to get the dental services you need. Here, it’s still not free, though, just greatly reduced.

For those who are missing teeth and unable to pay, an implant may be an unaffordable luxury. Depending on the missing tooth or teeth, a crown affixed to neighboring teeth or a partial denture is far less expensive and produces cosmetically acceptable results.
