Q&A: What are my options for a missing tooth?

Q&A: What are my options for a missing tooth?

I had a tooth broken and had it removed many being ago. I was wondering what the price would be to have a partial or implant for the one tooth that is gone. Facing forwards it is the top 7th tooth from the gums that is gone.

Answer by It’s my opinion! Deal w/it!
Depends on everywhere you go and your insurance.

For the most part, it’s expensive to get an implant.

best and most economical solution would be to get a bridge. depending on how many units it will have and everywhere you go the cost of it will vary. if it’s a molar, gold would be best. it is the strongest and resist chipping. PFM’s or porcelain combined to medal crowns are the most common ones. but there are many options for bridges. partials, in my opinion, are costly in the long run. you must get them adjusted each so often. an implant takes a long time to complete. some people take about a year to get their “tooth” replaced. go to your neighborhood dental office and get a consultation. see what they recommend for you.

each case is different.

Will the neighbor teeth to the gone one benefit from the crown? do they have huge fillings? if yes than you doubtless should reckon about the bridge, that way you will kill 3 birds with one stone.

If they are teeth with no fillings at all you doubtless a excellent candidate for an implant. It is a bit more in price than a bridge and takes longer to end, but in a long run that would be your strongest tooth in the mouth.

if you gone some other teeth on the same arch (top or bottom) you might want to reckon about partial, that way you will replace all of them with one appliance.

I hope this helps… excellent luck.
