Will dental implant fail?

Will dental implant fail?

What are the risks of it? And does it need numerous appointment to fix it? then how to survive with a gone tooth for months.
ARE THERE CHANCES THAT INVESTMENT ON IMPLANT FAIL?

Answer by beepboop
I had that done. It took one appointment to remove the rest of the natural tooth, do the root canal, insert the post and place on the fleeting tooth. People don’t generally walk around without a tooth in their skull with that post sticking out. It took one more appointment to insert the permanent. As long as you check back with your dentist to make sure there are no signs of infection you should be okay with your investment. It’s really not that huge of a deal.

There are very few risks to having a dental implant, though there is no guarantee that it will be successful. At the office everywhere I work our success rate is about 98%. My personal opinion is that it is better do do an impant in stages. First have the tooth removed…wait 2-3 months to see how much bone grows back and if you don’t need some type of bone graft then place the impant in. The implant is usually then covered over with gum tissue and allowed to heal for a period of 3-4 months at which time a small incision will be made to place a special connector onto the implant to prepare the gum tissue for the final crown (you want the gum tissue to look natural around the crown) after that connector is on you can start the crown process in 3 to 4 weeks…that involves taking impression and sending them to a lab to have the crown fabricated. If it is only one tooth that part is naturally done in 2 visits which are spaced about 2 weeks apart. As for going without a tooth during this time…if it is a front tooth you can have a “flipper” made which is basically like a retainer with a tooth attached.

p.s. sorry i’m so long winded!
