Every school will be different. A safe bet would be between 1/2 to 3/4 of the price in a private office. Check out the list of dental schools in the US at:

Find a school in your area and give them a call to get a more accurate answers.
Remember that the treatment at a dental school can take longer than a private office.

You won’t forget it’s an implant, but it’s not something that will occupy your mind for very long. I had one put in about 10 years ago that came loose about six months ago… i only had to revisit the dentist and have the old one taken off and a new one put in and my tooth is as good as new – should last another ten years

I have had the new osseo integrated implants place in my mouth and have done many on patients. They are as natural as any of your other teeth and I never think about it.

Dental implants looks so natural u will not even think about it after a couple of weeks.

I have three and I don’t even think about them. They feel just like my permanent teeth.
You shouldn’t need to get the crown replaced unless something happens to it.
I’ve had one about four years and the other two about 2 years.
They should last till I’m gone.
