Can a dentist refuse to pull a tooth if you are not willing to have a bone implant she recommended?

I was willing to pay the amount requested to have it pulled. Just did not want Establish, which is not roofed by my indemnity. I’m 80 yrs ancient, and was in terrible pain!

Yes, if you’re not willing to follow their recommended course of behavior, they can send you on your way.

You can end up with a dry socket if you don’t get that bone graft, that hurts more and for longer than the deprivation of the graft.

Of course, if you’re willing to take your chances, you can call nearly and find a dentist that might pull it and take your chances.

average cost of dental establish

My husband is needing a tooth establish. (I judge it’s called a prosphetic root). It’s were they slot in a permanent post that will ultimately hold a tooth/crown. We were quoted $ 2300 per post (not counting the crown). Seems like alot of cash! Anyone traditional with procedure in fresno area that may maybe shed some light on this circumstances? Thanks much!

Answer by Takeawalk
That’s more than we paid in Northern Calif. ($ 1,800) I would urge you call other dental offices in your area and question what they charge or go somewhere for a following opinion. You might have to go out of the Fresno area, but it might be valuable.

This is a lot high for where I am from, but I would guess it is a modest high still for where your are. I would reckon you may maybe find some a modest more reasonable even in the fresno area. Call some different oral surgeons or periodontist offices and just question how much an establish runs without the crown.

Hello, Unfortunately you are now in the dental gold mine. That means that two things that pay huge bucks for the dentist is Implants, Crowns and getting to get it paid for through indemnity. Dental fees for appliances, Crowns etc, made by a dental laboratory are inflated between 5 and 10 times the dental laboratory fee. i.e., Crowns that cost the dentist $ 85.00 is inflated to as much as $ 950 by the dentist to the uncomplaining. Establish procedures themselves vary from as modest as $ 500 each to $ 1200 each. The posts cost the dentists between $ 65 and $ 120… I know of no dentist charging $ 2300 for a single post establish, but have no conundrum believing there are those who do. If you go the Establish /Crown route be sure you get in writing that if the Establish fails the Dentist removes it at no charge, and any subsequent dental
machine required to fill the void will cost you no more than 10% above the dental lab fee…..IF that means a Partial Denture machine, the Lab fee will be nearly $ 250.00. Excellent luck and I wish you well.

Hi Evie
Dental establish prices vary any where from $ 2000 to $ 4500 – for a single restored(completed) tooth supported by a dental establish!! But the price can increase much in cases where additional procedures are needed (bone graft or sinus lift).Just applying a few CC’s of bone graft material can cost an additional 500-800$ .

Even even if prices are high you can still find a low-cost dental establish by by these tips/dreams : http://www.dental-implants-handbook.com/low-cost-dental-establish.html

From your description it sounds like your dentist is charging in the higher end of the price range – but if he’s a well known specialist with lots of experience then – maybe it’s worth it!

Hope your husband feels excellent

What do you reckon? Answer below!
