After dental implant surgery (phase 1) what time-frame is it ok to use your flipper?

I have the surgery next week, the dentist says I can at once place it in. But if I use my flipper at once, wouldn’t it affect the healing administer? Some websites say 1-2 weeks. Also he didn’t prescribe Periodex, he said to use salt-fill up instead. Is it best to use chlorhexidine? I don’t want to risk an infection.

When you say “dental establish surgery” are you talking in this area the dentist placing the titanium screw in the bone and attaching a healing cap?
If so you can use the flipper imediately, there will be minimal shock to the gum area.
As far as periodex goes for the above procedure it’s not needed. If you were having a bone graft or gum surgery then yes, periodex must be used.
In your case salt fill up must be fine.
Placing the screw is not a huge deal, you will be amazed how quick and painless it is.

A lot of this will depend on the early stability with placement of the establish – so the general practitioner will usually make that call with surgery. One business is certain, wearing a flipper will always add another risk factor to the healing. Now this risk factor may either bear modest to no clinical significance, or it can downright jeopardize the survival of the establish. Again, the general practitioner will have to make this call aptly with the surgery. If it is ok to wear a flipper, I would definately urge to not eat with it the first few weeks. You do not want to place undue pressures onto the establish during this early stage of integration.

My dentist said it may maybe take up to a month to aclimate to the new establish. Had the one done, 2 weeks shortly would have never known that tooth was ever gone. Had the next one done, and my dentist still didn’t be with you why it’s still killing me with 5 months. It’s now been a modest over a year, and although it still hurts, it’s pretty lowgrade and still improving. But I still reckon it was valuable. Just my experience, hope yours is better.

Pain?? there must be no pain. uh uh nooooo, no pain!! You may be a modest sore but no pain. Nothing 2 advils cant fix. Go back to your dentist IMMEDIATELY and find out if you got an infection. The ONLY area that must be a tad bit sore is where he placed the suture to close the establish. And that shouldnt be enough to cause pain. See your dentist!!!!
