How long with my lower jaw hurt after dental implant placement?
Feels like I was hit in the jaw with 2 molar implants

Everyone is different. Everyone deals with pain differently. But, routinely your discomfort must be very nearly completely gone within 2-4 weeks. If it gets of poorer quality at any time see your DDS.

The healing period for patients who have had lower arch dental implants placed must be relatively small–from approx. 2 to 3 days to no more than approx. 1 week. If you are past this period of time— please consider persistent to the general practitioner for a post-operative check-up aptly away.
The sensation you are experiencing may be an indication of infection of the soft bandanna where the incisions were made.
The excellent news is that the bone does NOT have any nerve sensors — so the pain must NOT be coming from the bone area–BUT, the soft bandanna (gums) have many nerve endings that can be converted into affected which is where the pain is coming from.
If the gum area where they stitched over the implants is not improving in terms of swelling — in the cheek and gum area, or you have a low-grade fever– having distress swallowing –or have a terrible taste or ordor in your backtalk– these may maybe all be additional signs that indeed you may be dealing with infection.
In some rare cases there is pain past the 1 week mark—BUT my recommendation is NOT wait– get a check-up aptly away. The visit must be all inclusive of your establish case fee. It is the doctor’s responsibility to you and your dental establish investment–THAT your implants don’t fail, you are healing properly and that the foundation of your smile is not jeopardized.
If your MD allows you to take an anti-stirring drug like Iburprophen, (Advil, Motrin) this is a excellent drug to take for the inflammation you may be having with this type of surgery— BUT dredge up—this drug cannot be used at once with the surgery due to it causing problems with flow of blood and lack of coagulation of the site–meaning if you have an open wound– it does not gel over and clot the area and stop flow of blood as quickly if you have anti-stirring drugs in your system.—If you cannot take Ibuprophen–Question the MD if you are able to take Tylenol for the pain until you are seen by your doctor–who may order an antibiotic for your pain/infecton.
Sorry to hear you are having pain long with your implants. May I question how long ago it was when you had the surgery?
Email me and let me know you returned to visit your general practitioner for your post-op check-up. I want to learn what was the cause, diagnosis and most importantly that the doc. helped you find relief–

I was agreed a dental CT scan before my implants were placed. The establish placement was computer guided to avoid nerves.
Numbness with establish placement is not normal. Please read this webpage. I will snip a section on it for you but please read it!

DO NOT…I repeat…DO NOT leave this lonely. You are waisting valuable time. Get to a microsurgeon ASAP and DO NOT WAIT!!! She needs to have a CT NOW and get the sensations recorded with 2 top discrimination mapped at once by a neuromicrosurgeon and he must be determining the behavior at this top. Period. Surgery is usually indicated in three months if there is no enhancement and often even if there is limited enhancement. Nerve renovate can range from just monitoring enhancement to a harvested nerve graft. The 3 month window is for monitoring and mapping altered sensations and enhancement is up.
Praying for you to get this issue resolved. The establish was placed in the incorrect place.
