Q&A: Should I be concerned about torn suture causing dental implant to be exposed?
I plot on calling my oral surgeon in the morning and asking him, but for now I was wondering if anyone out there who has experience with dental implants can give me any info. I got 3 dental implants nearly 4 days ago, and tonight one of the sutures came out, causing the bottom canine implant to be converted into partially exposed. There is some bleeding, but it’s not severe. Is this a conundrum? I know the gum has to be opened up in 3 months anyway for the tooth to be placed on it, and I know that some implants are designed to be partially exposed above the gum. Do you reckon it will have to be sewn back up?
Thanks!

after 4 days there should be no conundrum. The sutures were most liable dis solvable and meant to come out in 4-7 days. If there is a small bleeding, bite on a gauze pad for a while in anticipation of it stops. Don’t worry and excellent luck with the implants.

they are, but they don’t last as long as an implant and they can stretch, produce the teeth they’re conneted to to be converted into terrible. (cavities, wearing of enamel)

Bridges are MUCH cheaper than implants. Since when did insurance take in implants?? You’re paying for it. And it takes about 6 months after the implantation of the post to allow for healing. You’d have a temp crown during that time and then the permanent crown would be cemented. A partial bridge for the one tooth may run you only $ 250. You really need to see your dental office and talk money to know correctly what you’ll have to pay.

DENTAL INSURANCE WILL NOT COVER THE PRICE OF AN IMPLANT. THE QUOTE YOU GAVE FOR $ 2,400 IS A BIT STEEP EVEN FOR A BRIDGE. HERE IN CHICAGO THE PRICE IS A BIT UNDER ABOUT $ 2,400 COMPLETE. THE INSURANCE WOULD PAY FOR ABOUT 50% OR ABOUT $ 1,200 OF THIS.

Bridges are cheaper but they are not better for you. A bridge basically locks onto the other teeth and sits on your gum. You will able to remove it and clean it frequently. There is no bone touching the bridge – which is the weakness of the bridge. You may have to buy a bridge numerous times – so the one time expense is not the total expense of a bridge.
The dental implant is superior in numerous manners. The dentist will attach the implant to the bone and this will stimulate your bone just as if you had a normal tooth there and the bone underneath your implant will grow just as if you have a normal tooth. Implants generally go in once and stay there for your life time. They do break occasionally but no everywhere nearly as often as a bridge.
The implant is simpler to take care of and it is better for your dental health. Believe it or not you have a excellent price for the implant and installation. Many implants have micro-groves in them so as the dentist puts in the implant, bone will grow into the implant everywhere it should and your gum will grow into the implant everywhere it should and you can forget about it.
The vital thing is that you will have a healthier jaw bone with the implant. Have you ever seen these small ancient ladies who seem to have no jaw but have fake teeth? Well that is because the jaw bone was not stimulated to grow because the fake teeth were never connect to the bone.
World Health Organizations are all for dental implants in especially grown-up folks because grown-up folks often starve to death because their dentures do not fit any more and they lack the ability to tell anyone what the conundrum is.
Spend the money and be healthy
