In the small term yes. In the long run no. You will liable even save money. Don’t count on your insurance to take in much of the cost. The other alternative for replacing a gone tooth is a bridge or removable partial denture. Most people don’t go for the removable type and get a flat or cemented bridge. But they don’t last forever and if you are young you will like have to have it replaced numerous times in your life. An implant could last you the rest of your life if you take care of it and have it placed and restored by a competent surgeon/dentist. I would have to say the cost would be in the range of $ 3500 to $ 4800 depending on who does it, what area you live in, and the complexity of your case. If you can do it, get the implant because it will save the teeth on either side of the space from needing to be ground down to house a flat bridge.

yes this is called a partial.

I reckon you could get one or two. Just depends on the quantity of space the dentist has and what-have-you

It depends on the type of implant you want. If you want a removable implant such as a partial or a flipper, yes, one implant is all you will need, but if you want a perminant implant you will need two implants because you need two seperate posts inserted seperately.
Hope that helps,
Jer
