How much do dental implants cost in South Korea?
I’m looking at getting dental implants in Seoul. Does anyone know how much this would cost per tooth?

Dental Implants cost on average about $ 3000 per tooth in the States. The cost can vary from $ 2500 to $ 5000 dollar per tooth. In most developed countries it costs about the same. Regional differences will be surely there. South Korea has highest penetration of dental implants and is the largest promote for dental implants in Asia Pacific region. There is intense price competition too. So, I expect the prices will be much lower than what you see in other countries.

If you choose to go for dental implants a few points to remember would be – go for a competent, experienced and trained implant specialist. Question for references from friends, relatives and associates and pick a dentist with whom you are comfortable. Don’t go to inexperienced and incompetent dentists. They can mess up your jaw bone huge time.

average cost of a dental implant

I’m considering getting a few dental implants to replace some teeth in my upper jaw and was wondering (approximately) how long the process would take to complete from start to end.

6 months to a year.

To ensure success the implant should be left to integrate with the bone for apprx. 6 months.
After that a crown can be attached. Some people integrate a small quicker so you’re looking at a minimum of 4 months to apprx. 7 months. Allow a week or two longer for the crown although if you’re in a rush I estimate you could have a fleeting crown placed on the implant while the permanent crown is being made.
Most implant failures are due to premature loading, meaning a crown is attached and the patient bites something that causes the implant to loosen from the bone.

Steer clear of the same day implants. Their success rate is not very high.
