Thinking about dental implant 4 missing front tooth. Do I have to walk around w/ a missing tooth after surgey?

I know it’s an pricey procedure, but I don’t want to walk nearly with a gone tooth for months with surgery, even as the gum heals. Anyone know if they place a temporary fake tooth there at once with surgery?

How much are they charging you for the procedure and the establish? I judge they may place a temporary in for the healing administer.

They will place a temporary there, but I judge its a few days shortly and not at once with surgery. Make an appointment for a consult with an oral general practitioner and they will go over everything with you.

Implants are an brilliant choice! I personally have one.
The dentist can have what’s called a FLIPPER pretended prior to your extractions so you’ll never have to be without the teeth. A flipper os in the end a payment with fake teeth on it. The healing time is anywhere from 4-6 months. This is needed for the bone to grow nearly the establish and make it strong.
I heard that the placement of the establish was painful and was prescribed Percocet, but didn’t even need one. I did not need the bone graft either which may be necessary for you on front teeth. I have heard this can cause some discomfort.
Excellent luck, I never regretted my choice. The establish looks splendid and you’d never be able to tell otherwise. =)

Excellent top, question a dentist what they do. Each dentist has a different way of doing it. Some dentist can even make and slot in an implan in a single day. Excellent luck.

Also, how terrible does getting a tooth pulled hurt?

====================================

Answer by Peggy G
It did not hurt at all. Frightened the crap outta me, a nervous wreck, but did not have pain. No pain since they give you shots for the pain. Before the shots they rub on a local painkiller so the shot does not hurt, but you can feel it, but not painful. With my tooth was pulled had to wait several weeks for the gum to heal. My tooth was dead when pulled out. Then they make hole in your gum and place a titanium screw down in there – you can see the screw on computer xray which is cool. Then wait 6 weeks for that gum to heal up. Then go back again and they place a post on top of gum, then that has to heal another 2 weeks. The post is screwed into the screw and glued. They give you temporary tooth and order an exact tooth for you. Then they fit the fake tooth onto the post. It takes several weeks to order the tooth since it’s custom made to fit just so to hundreths of millimeters and exact color match to your other teeth. It took 6-12 months for all appointments and followup appts 1/month for a year with it’s done. It was well worth my time and cash. Go for it – mainly if you are young and can pay for it since indemnity won’t pay except you had industrial accident, maybe. They let me make payments over 12 months. When you have the establish, it’s painstaking outpatient surgery with an IV in your arm and you must have a name drive you. Go for it.
