In “sex and the city” this girl falls and her front tooth falls out with lots of blood, a few days later, she looks like she had a dental implant to replace the tooth that fell out. Is this done in real life, if you have this type of emergency? I thought it took months to get an implant done.

Here are several things that can be done in a case like this. The tooth itself can be saved if it came out whole and in excellent condition. As far as implants being placed and healed… its going to take more than a few days, but the procedure is getting more advanced. Here are now systems that allow you to place the post(the metal that mimics the root and integrates into the bone) and the permanent crown on the same visit.

It can be vaguely embarrassing for the person concerned and others who are not in that spot can not know this. If the implant is not visible part of the mouth then you friend can premeditated going out lacking too much vex. Another option is to get a temporary crown while she waits for the permanent tooth. The dentist must help in this.

Whether she wants to mix with people or not is ultimately her choice.

If your friend is comfortable enough she can premeditated going out since her friends don’t seem to mind it. I mean if the beholder isn’t offended…
