Q&A: Does this sound REALLY expensive for a tooth implant?

Q&A: Does this sound REALLY expensive for a tooth implant?

I need a tooth implant for one of my front teeth, and my dentist told me it would cost $ 9k total (implant, crown and care). This sounds absurd to me. Anyone know of what the total cost is for a single implant, in general (total cost, importance implant, crown and care)? I feel like I am getting ripped off, and my insurance will not cover any of it.

Teeth implant are expensive. Ball park they can cost you around $ 3500 per tooth. Yeah, that’s implants + crown. Now, the fee can vary depending on the dentist, the place where you live, the amount of extra work needed to for your particular case, if you need bone grafts the cost will go up, the location of the teeth that needs replacing and so on…

the fee can vary anywhere from $ 2500 to $ 5000 per tooth.

Dental implants are worth the fee as they prevent bone loss and help restore your confidence, your self-esteem and image. They are nearly like normal tooth so you can eat, chew, bite, talk, smile like you would with a normal tooth.

Assuming you got excellent amount of jawbone (height, width and density) an implant will be frankly placed in bone. The implant is made of unmoving metal like Titanium which is proven to be successful in integrating well with the bone and promote bone growth around the implant. With the implant has integrated with your bone and healed absolutely. The skin over the implant is lifted and an abutment placed. Next a crown is placed on the abutment. The crown is matched with your teeth color. the healing of the implant can take 3-6 months. During the healing period you need to be careful not to bite or chew on hard substances on that side. Once the bone is absolutely healed and crown placed you can eat normally.

The process is expensive and time consuming but worth the results.
