Q&A: Can you get an abscess in a dental implant?also what are the signs thanks?

hello,i have dental implants and the crowns are on for a few months now ,on the back tooth the gum or possibly the bone i dont know seems swollen like a round bump.
is it possible to get an abscess in the bridge,or everywhere the implants were placed?
also is that serious what kind of pain would it be if it was an abscess since its not a real tooth is hard to know thanks
thank you for your answer! i cannot get to the specialist for a couple of weeks,it is hurting and darts of pain,can you die from an abscess? i do not have a fever,is there anything i can do salt water or listerene?
if it spreads can you die ?

Although rare, infection can renovate around an implant. The reasons may be food impaction under the gum around the implant, or the implant has failed.

I got punch in the mouth by this kid and my 2 front teeth are slanted. I might need dental implants. Is it painful during the operation?
This kid punched me in the mouth. My front 2 teeth are slanted. They didn’t chip or anything. They just got out of there position.

The dentist will shot you with a sedative and not pain at all.

i don’t reckon that you need implants.if your teeth didn’t break at their roots,possibly dentist can place your teeth back to the right position and use smth (like a metal) to hold them there in anticipation of bone is cured. to do that you must visit the dentist as soon as possible. it’s possible that those teeth will need a root canal therapy, too.
moreover, as far as i know, you can’t have implants in anticipation of you are 18.
