OK…having been in the dental field for over 40 being I can tell you that when Implants work they are really fantastic….When they don’t, you lose many many dollars, and what’s worse you lose a lot of gum bone structure as the gums heal following confiscation of failed Implant post….Implants are working at about an 82% success ratio nation wide…The conundrum is that there is no way to do a test that will determine ahead of time if your particular bone will accept the implant post….As I said, if it doesn’t, the post has to be removed and the healing process from the confiscation causes the area to shrink as it heals…meaning you end up with less gum bone than when you had the implant placed….Of course bone grafts can be done to restore the bone and in some cases bone graft material is added to the area when an implant post is first place in house. This is done to increase the success percentage….Cost wise, it can be a shock to most patients…I’m now retired and don’t practice anymore, but my brother just had an implant evaluation and estimate from a dentist in his area…Upper and lower implants with dentures was estimated to cost $ 77,000.00….Regular dentures with out implants was quoted at $ 8,500.00….Let me tell you that the absolute highest quality set of dentures can be made by a Denturist/Technician, materials and labor, sold directly to the patient for a fee of $ 1200.00….Excellent luck and I wish you well….Write me if you have additional questions.

It is elemental to get the orthodontic treatment done before getting implants. This insures that the implants will be in the best possible position for excellent aesthetics and relationship to the rest of your teeth. It is impossible to go implants after they are healed so if they are in a terrible position after ortho is completed things would be trying. Often a removable appliance can be used to fill the empty a skin condition or occasionally teeth can be bonded to the arch wire. We always house implants when ortho is finished and our patient is in maintenance
What do you reckon? Answer below!
When you have lost all your teeth, or many of them then you can benefit from the advantages of dental implants. But if you lean towards traditional dental care such as dentures or bridges it may results in tooth sensitivity and decay on those teeth.Even, dentures are also associated with numerous problems because they constantly move during chewing, they are inefficient in masticating solid foods. Moreover, dental implants prevents facial collapse.
