can i get a dental implant in mexico

can i get a dental implant in mexico

one of my teeth is showing deadness from a fight i was in being ago. can i safely get work done in mexico city for less?

Answer by smart human

if you have a dead tooth especially if it is a front one your aim should be to save it and do a root canal and a crown.
esthetically, the implant will never look as excellent as your natural tooth neither will your gums around the implant.
and NO, you should not get an implant done in mexico. the conundrum is once you get the implant (this piece is under the gums and is not visible), you need to see your dentist back home and get the “crown” or the part that is visible in the mouth. your dentist at home may not be familiar with the system they use in mexico and he may not be able to restore the implant. In addition, if there is a conundrum with the implant like an infection, it will cost you more money to get down there to fix it….by then you may have permanent hurt to the bone.

So no. Just spend the extra cash and see a reputable periodontist is the US.

hello! i know it’s quite redundant for me post stuff about mini dental implants. but i just need to know who have gone thru the actual procedure of minidental implants (for a single tooth or for more), how long do they really stay in the gum? how comfortable is it? or does it hurt? and how much is the actual cost (and everywhere was it done)? does it feel like real teeth? my research about it is not enough… there arent too much people whom i know who’ve gone thru it. i want information from patients.. :) so delight, help me on this. im really considering going thru the procedure (but not yet sure if im a candidate). thanks you soo much!

(1) The mini-dental-implant screws into the jaw bone, somewhat like screwing a spiral post hole digger into the ground. The implant has a collar that tells the Dentist how far in to house the implant. (2)..The dentists administers an anesthetic to numb the implant site so placement pain is non-existent. (3) There is “no” test that can determine ahead of time if (a) your body will accept the implant or (b) how long the implant will last. (4) At present the national; success average for implants is in the low 90′s. (5) Yes, once the procedure is completed the implant does have a natural feel. (6) Cost is dependent on what an individual dentist desires to charge. Their is no set universal price rule. (7) Everywhere it was done is not a relevant question. (8) Ultimately, how long an implant last depends on the patients general body health and to what degree you practice excellent dental hygiene. (9) Now, do you have another Implant question?? Excellent luck and I wish you well.
