Is it possible to get dental implants at age 14!?

yeah so this summer my family and I may be going to Egypt and my mum was thinking if I should get my dental implants done there just 2 but if i come back to england will they deal with them if i get any problems? also am i ancient enough cos i’ve seen this girl on youtube who got them at age 14..? thanks (:

You should be done developing and this is usually at least 18 being ancient.

If it is OK with your parents AND they have the money to pay for it, AND the doctor agrees to do it, then you can have it done. the distress is, when you get back to england the doctors there will NOT treat you, and your parents insurance will NOT pay for it. So if you get an infection or an abcess, it MIGHT be necessary to remove your whole jaw! My, how pretty THAT is . . . . .

it depends. usually they don’t want to place in implants in anticipation of you stop growing. cuz as you are growing your teeth shift seats in your mouth, so they would usually wait in anticipation of you are at least 18 cuz that’s when growth predictable stops. i had to have 5 implants place in and i had to wait till i turned 18 to start treatment.

There possibly alternatives to dental implants. Have you talked to dentist if there is any tooth repair or tooth fix procedures? For example root canal, crown can preclude tooth loss. Periodontal treatment such as root planing and scaling can also preclude tooth loss. If you have already lost your teeth, then ofcourse you need implant. Have you already lost teeth or you have them?
