Does anyone know of a place to go to have dental implants done at a reduced rate in Central Florida?

Does anyone know of a place to go to have dental implants done at a reduced rate in Central Florida?

My dentist told me that an implant is the way to go, instead of a bridge, to replace my tooth. But, I cannot affort $ 3000 for one tooth– in any case of how long the procedure takes. Any suggestions?

Contact the Inner Florida Institute. They have a dental school.

the dental school is in gainseville but you are still looking at a minimum of $ 2000.

keep in mind though that asking for a discount on an implant is like asking for a discount on a mercedes. it’s a premium service so there is a premium price. partial dentures are the way to go if you need a cheaper road.

What do you reckon? Answer below!

cost of dental implant

Delight!
1. How liable it is to get complications (infections, nerve hurt, bone breaks etc) in the process and how terrible can they be? Could it be something potentially serious?
2. What is an implant failure? And what are other options should this happen? Will they refund my money if it happens?
3. Can the procedure be safely done in a pregnant female?
Thanks a bunch!

Don’t know any of that – BUT – you’ll never get a dollar back on medicine which doesn’t work. You’re stuck with the bill no matter what.

I haven’t heard anything about failure in the dental implants – the root canals will fail sometimes – I lost two of those.

Dental implants are titanium screws placed directly into the bone on that a tooth crown can be placed. Its main complication is implant failure because of peri implantitis. Its a foreign body so that body may reject the implant or implant may be converted into mobile due to gum diseases. Nobody give u warranty or deposit to dental implant.(as far as I know)

Other complications like nerve hurt and bone break are relatively uncommon but may happen when do it in mandibular posterior teeth( molars of lower jaw). It always depend upon ur ridge height and position of inferior alveolar canal. Usually radiographs taken prior to treatment to know the above. So expert dentist wont make nerve hurt or break.

During pregnancy its not safe because u have to take high dose of antibiotics during the treatment and during pregnancy gums are usually weak. Second trimester is considered safe for dental treatment. So dentists always say to wait for the delivery and may for another 6 months extra.

The success of implant depends upon how u lost ur teeth. If it because of trauma or accident, success chance is more. If it because of deep caries and pain success chance is moderate and if it because of mobility, success chance is poor. But it depend upon lot of factors like age, position of implant (load bearing areas have more failure chance), bone quality and quantity.
Diabetics and immune suppressive disorders shows poor chance for success.

But dont worry there are lot of other options for replacing teeth like flat ceramic bridges, Removable partial denture etc….
