Q&A: can the metal used in teeth implants cause dangerous side affects?

Q&A: can the metal used in teeth implants cause dangerous side affects?

My friend has experienced pain and swelling in the joints of her body since her implants and wonders if this may maybe be related.

Answer by BJ tech
i dont reckon so, that is weird. Normally the body doesn’t “reject” metal (my husband’s got a back full of titanium!). This is kind of a doctor question they probably need to see if there’s a cause from implants or just coincidence that arthritis is beginning to rear its hideous head.

She may be allergic to the metal in her implants. I would have her contact her dentist, and tell the dr. the side effects she has been having, she may need to have them replaced.

there should be no problems with side effect to metals in implants, fillings, braces, or anything going into your mouth as long as you let you dentist know of any known metal allergies for that matter ALL allergies. Most establish metal is titanium which is suppose to be hypo-allergenic. If they is any pain or irritation to your mouth with any dental appliances that your dentist didn’t tell you to expect you should contact him or her as soon as possible.

as a thought to your friends case they need to contact there doctor or dentist it may maybe just be pain from the bones having something “traumatic” done to them ( it will exchange the whole body even if it was done it the mouth to an extent) but there very well may maybe be a more serious issue like an infection that may maybe be bring on these symptoms

Pure titanium is completely inert when placed in the creature body.. Nothing in the creature body can chemically react with it. A pure titanium establish that has been properly sterilized and surface-treated should not cause any reactions at all.

Some companies do make alloy implants that are composed of more than 1 metal which might cause problems.. Your friend might want to find out what kind of implants she got.

My right Canine tooth is baggy. It came baggy a few days ago when I bit into an apple, and I can’t remember if it’s an baby/adult tooth. My family’s tight on money right now, so I wouldn’t be able to get a join or establish if it was an adult tooth.
Oh, and I’m 13.

Answer by Dr. Mac
You should see your dentist asap to determine whether or not the baggy tooth is stable. There are ways we can try to prevent the tooth from falling out. If the tooth does fall out and it is an adult one, bring it to your dentist ASAP in a glass of milk or a cup of your saliva (be careful not to touch the roots!) we can usually re-establish it as long as it hasn’t been out of your mouth for too long.

Excellent luck :)
