My mom needs to get tooth implants. She's 58 and can't afford anything to expensive. What's affordably available?

She’s not keen on the thought of dentures, but her teeth are pretty terrible. What are some options?
She doesn’t have insurance so it will be out of pocket. We know it’s expensive, but we’re trying to find the LEAST expensive option.

Answer by Sally
Dentures are the best alternative because implants are very expensive. She will get used to them.

The only other option are bridges but she must have enough tooth structure to hold them and doubtless a partial.

have her consult her insurance provider & the biller at the dentist’s office. they will give her options for treatment & payment.

Implants are the most expensive.

Top of the line would be implant dentures everywhere the dentures are permanently attached to implant screws. I don’t know what the cost is but if I had to estimate I’d say apprx. 10-12k total. That would include
upper and lower. Individual implants are going to run apprx. 3-4k per tooth.
Yes, that’s per tooth.

Regular run-of-the-mill dentures would be the least expensive.

She needs to visit a specialist to review all options/costs.

What do you reckon? Answer below!

I was just wondering if anyone knows how much this would cost. My insurance will not pay for an implant for a year. I broke my front tooth and this sounds like a fantastic alternative in anticipation of I can get the implant.

Well, it depends on everywhere you live. Everywhere I work it runs about $ 400.
