Can a 4 yr old get an implant to replace two extracted front teeth or just wait a few years for adult teeth?
My son had an abscessed tooth and the dentist took both front teeth out. He just turned 4 two weeks ago and now he is missing his two front top teeth. He is having a hard time intake and his speech is now hindered. I would rather not wait until his stable teeth come down in a few years. Can a 4 year ancient get a dental establish that will fall out when his stable teeth come in on their own? It’s hard to know him now and he is having distress intake. What do I do?

Wait for his teeth to grow back in.

best to wait. Implants (if you may maybe find a dentist that would really do it….) may maybe really hurt the permenant teeth. Your dentist should have ex-rayed your child to make sure the permenant teeth were not hurt in the first place. Follow his advice.

dental implants would not work b/c they screw persons things into your bone!! but…. question your dentist about getting him flappers. they are removeable so when his adult teeth come in no need for the flappers anymore. excellent luck.

A friend of mine’s brother had a very similar conundrum. Even if it might be a small stressful at first for your son, I highly reccomend coming up for the teeth to grow back. Besides, once teeth have been pulled out prematurely, more often than not, permenant teeth grow much nearer.
Have a nice day =)
